It is a key year for Joel Esteban. The Catalan rider makes his debut in the Moto3 World Championship with the CFMOTO Aspar Team and will be looking to continue with the progress shown in recent seasons to consolidate in the small category.
Joel's life has always been closely linked to motorcycling. In 2019, and at just 13 years old, he made his debut in the Spanish Moto4 Championship and a year later he jumped to PreMoto3, a category in which he finished second. In 2021, he went a step further in his career and made his debut in the European Talent Cup, finishing on the podium in his first race.
These results attracted the attention of the Aspar Junior Team, who signed him up for a new season in the ETC in 2022. He started the year with three consecutive victories and added another two podiums. An appendicitis forced him to miss the two races in Jerez, but he still managed to finish runner-up.
In 2023, he made the jump to the JuniorGP category and in his debut season he achieved important results. Two victories and a total of six podiums led him to finish fourth in the overall standings.
In his third year as an Aspar Team rider, Joel takes a big step in his career, and he will make his debut in the Moto3 World Championship at the age of 18. The Catalan rider will be looking to continue the upward trajectory he has shown since joining the team, a significant challenge.
