Daniel Holgado has been one of the main Aspar Team Junior riders to make it to the top level. He was part of a golden generation that included David Alonso, Izan Guevara and Iván Ortolá, and now he’s back to the team in the Moto2 category.
The Spanish rider took his first steps on two wheels in the Cuna de Campeones where, since 2013, he achieved great results in different categories, including Moto4 Spanish Championship at the age of 10. In 2018 Dani went on to compete in the European Talent Cup, achieving his first podium in just three races. The Spanish rider only needed two seasons to make the jump to JuniorGP in 2019, signing a more than outstanding Top 10 in the overall standings, including two podiums.
In 2020 Holgado joined for the first time the Aspar Team ranks, in its junior team, to compete in his second JuniorGP season, when he scored two podiums, although victory still eluded him. This same year he also competed in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, taking 6 podiums, including a victory. 2021 was his year of consecration. With five victories and three podiums, Dani Holgado and the Aspar Team Junior became JuniorGP champions in front of the fans at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo. Holgado also fought for the title in the Rookies Cup, where he finished third.
His results earned him a place in the 2022 Moto3 World Championship (although his official debut was at the 2021 Catalunya Grand Prix as a substitute rider). Holgado was able to score his first podium with a third-place finish at the Aragon Grand Prix and fought to be the best rookie in the class until the last race. In 2023 he continued to grow and added further podium finishes, including his first victories in Portugal, France and Italy. This season was his first opportunity to fight for the title, leading the standings for most of the year.
In 2024, Dani was once again one of the favourites to fight for the Moto3 World Championship, especially after scoring a win and three podiums in the first four rounds of the calendar. Throughout the year the Spanish rider would climb the podium on four more occasions, being one of the most consistent riders of the year, which earned him the runner-up spot in the championship.
For this 2025, Daniel Holgado and the CFMOTO Aspar Team join their paths again, but this time making the jump to the Moto2 category.
