David Alonso and Ryusei Yamanaka have finished the last Grand Prix before the summer break in thirteenth and fifteenth position

Jaume Masià has won the last Grand Prix before the summer break after a race that has been led by up to four different riders. The riders who have started from the first rows of the grid have tried to break the group, but they have not been able to do it until almost the middle of the race. In the end, ten riders have formed a front group in which there has been a constant exchange of positions. With four laps to go, it has been Masià who has taken the lead and, although Sasaki has tried to get it in the last corners, it has been the Spanish rider who has crossed the finish line in first place. Ayumu Sasaki, who moves up to third overall, and Deniz Öncü, who has taken his third consecutive podium, have finished less than three tenths off Masià. Iván Ortolá has finished fourth after coming back from twentieth position and serving a penalty. World Championship leader Dani Holgado, who did not have his best day yesterday and has started from the back of the grid, has had an incident on the first lap and, although he has been able to return to the race, he has crossed the finish line in twenty-fifth. With these results, Holgado remains at the top of the overall standings, but now with a gap of 16 points over Jaume Masià and 26 points over Ayumu Sasaki.

Valresa GASGAS Aspar riders go on holiday after a Grand Prix in which their riders have scored points. David Alonso has had a good start, gaining four positions in the first lap. The Colombian rider has tried to reach the front group, but after having to fight with more experienced riders, he has stayed in the second group and has fought to finish as high as possible. Alonso closes the first part of the season seventh in the overall standings and as the best rookie in the category. His teammate Ryusei Yamanaka has finished the Dutch Grand Prix in fifteenth place, closing the points' zone. The Japanese rider has only needed six laps to gain twelve positions and to move up to thirteenth, but like his teammate, he has not been able to make any further progress due to the fight in the group. Yamanaka goes on the summer break with a good feeling and hopes to continue improving after the holidays.

13th David Alonso (+12.317): “It has been a difficult race. I have not found the speed, nor the pace, nor the overtaking points. I had been feeling good throughout the weekend, but today has not been my best day.”

15th Ryusei Yamanaka (+12.594): “I have had a good feeling in the race. I had a good pace and was going fast, but at one point I have lost the front of the bike and I have gone out of the track when I was starting to reach the front group. I have lost three or four seconds and I have stayed in second group trying to push to catch the front riders, but I have not been able to do it. I have tried to finish first in the group, but on the last lap I have attempted to overtake Moreira on the outside and I have lost two positions. I'm happy with the feeling, we have been able to improve throughout the weekend and we will try to make further progress at Silverstone.”
