The CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team will finally have its full Moto3 lineup, pending a medical check on Thursday, as the Spanish rider feels recovered from his injury
The CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team hopes to be able to compete with Máximo Quiles again in the Moto3 category after the young Spanish rider's medical tests carried on Tuesday confirmed the improvement of his injury. Quiles still needs to receive the all-clear from the French Grand Prix doctors to ensure his participation in this weekend's race at the Le Mans circuit. This year, Quiles had only been able to compete in the Americas GP race, where he achieved a remarkable fifth place in his world championship debut after starting from the front row. The Spanish rider arrives at Le Mans, a track where he took victory in the Red Bull Rookies Cup last year, with his energy completely renewed and aiming to continue adapting to the lightweight category.
Dennis Foggia completed the last Grand Prix with a positive feeling after scoring points for the first time at the Circuito de Jerez - Ángel Nieto. The CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team rider finished thirteenth after having to recover positions following an incident in the first corner. The Italian wants to make the most of this weekend by competing on a circuit that suits him, and where, on his last visit in Moto3, in 2022, he came within one-tenth of a podium position and three-tenths of the win. José Antonio Rueda and Ángel Piqueras, first and second in the lightweight category, will also be fighting for victory this Sunday.
Dennis Foggia: “Now we're starting circuits that I like, that are more suited to my style, and I want to fight for podium finishes again. On my last visit to Le Mans, I was just short of a podium, and now we must forget about the race at Jerez and work to fight for the front positions.”
Máximo Quiles: “I had surgery during the Qatar Grand Prix and, since then, I haven't stopped working towards this moment. I haven't wasted a single second of my recovery; I've had to work hard, but it's been worth it because I'll be able to get back on the bike. I'm going to take the Le Mans weekend calmly, with the goal of recovering my feeling with the Moto3 bike.”
