Alonso once again has showed the great pace he had all weekend and he has been able to complete a great comeback to eleventh position. In total, the CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team rider has recovered fourteen positions and has scored five points that are very valuable for the championship. With this result, Alonso maintains his second position in the World Championship and is only six points behind the leader, Dani Holgado, who has finished seventh. Collin Veijer has won the race after overtaking David Muñoz on the second lap. Muñoz has finished second and Iván Ortolá has completed the podium.

Joel Esteban has been unable to cross the finish line in the Spanish Grand Prix after crashing in the last corner of the last lap. The CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team rider was having his best race to date in Moto3 and has showed a great pace in the opening laps that has allowed him to recover positions and get into the leading group. As the laps have passed, the Spanish rider has lost some pace, but he has managed to stay among the first riders of the chasing group. Esteban has crashed when he was fifth and despite the crash he is satisfied with the work he has done this weekend.

11th David Alonso (+19.152): "I do not really know what happened, I do not know why I have crashed. I lost the front part of the bike on a way I did not expect. It is hard, but it will help us for the future. We have to accept it. At that moment I have thought that there was still a lot of race left and I have recovered the bike to see how far I could go."

Crash Joel Esteban: "I am happy despite the crash. In Jerez I have always struggled a lot and today I have been able to fight with the leading group for most of the race. I have made a couple of mistakes that have made me fall behind and then in the last corner I have pushed hard to try not to be passed and I have crashed when I was fifth. I am happy with the weekend. On Tuesday we have an important test to keep learning."
