CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team out for revenge in Hungary

Máximo Quiles and Dennis Foggia target strong results in Hungary

The CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team is currently competing in the second Hungarian Grand Prix in its history. In 1992, the year it was founded, the team competed at the Hungaroring in the last race held at the Central European country to date. Now, more than thirty years later, the World Championship is heading east from the Red Bull Ring to debut a new circuit, Balaton Park. Last weekend, Máximo Quiles came close to securing his sixth podium finish after leading much of the race. The Moto3 rookie continues to impress against more experienced riders and, after finishing fourth in Austria, is now the best rookie in the category despite having competed in four races less than his rivals. The CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team rider already has experience of tackling unfamiliar circuits and wants to take advantage of the fact that everyone will be on equal terms in that respect this weekend. His teammate Dennis Foggia fought for the top 10 in Austria and in recent races has found the consistency that allows him to be among the frontrunners in every Grand Prix. The Italian is looking forward to this weekend, eager to demonstrate his talent once again and aim for the top 5 in the standings.

José Antonio Rueda remains the Moto3 championship leader with 239 points, holding a 71-point advantage over Piqueras, who reduced the gap with his victory in Austria. The battle for third place remains one of the most closely contested, with David Muñoz currently holding the position with 139 points, tied with Máximo Quiles in fourth and Álvaro Carpe in fifth. Quiles and Carpe are also leading the race to become the rookie of the 2025 season.

Máximo Quiles: “We're coming to a new circuit, so we'll have to work harder to get to know it and adapt to it quickly. It seems like it's a track with heavy braking zones, so I think I'm going to like it a lot. Now it's time to keep working to fight for the podium again this weekend and in the upcoming races.”

Dennis Foggia: “We're arriving in Hungary, and from what I've seen, it's going to be a very different circuit to what we've had so far, with a very narrow track. I hope to adapt to it as quickly as possible to perform like we have done the last few race weeks and fight for the top five again.”
