CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team goes all out at Assen

Máximo Quiles and Dennis Foggia want to complete their first double header of the season by repeating their strong results in Mugello

The Dutch Grand Prix arrives with hardly any rest for the CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team riders. After a memorable Italian Grand Prix, with a double podium for the team and Máximo Quiles' first world championship victory, the TT Circuit Assen will close out the first double of 2025. Máximo Quiles and Dennis Foggia want to keep working to continue their positive streak of results. The Spaniard is racking up some dizzying figures: in just five races, he is already fifth in the overall standings with three consecutive podiums, one victory and one pole position. The CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team rider is confident he will quickly adapt to the Dutch circuit to be competitive once again. His teammate Dennis Foggia returned to the podium after more than two years of waiting, and he did so at his home Grand Prix. The Italian rider is working very hard to readjust to the Moto3 category after his stint in Moto2, and at Mugello he saw all his efforts rewarded with third place. This weekend, the stage will be the legendary Assen circuit, where he also knows what it takes to win: he did so in 2021 ahead of Aspar Team rider Sergio García and Italian Romano Fenati.

The Moto3 José Antonio Rueda, managed to save the day and finished fourth in Italy, what allowed him to increase his lead to 56 points over his main rival, Ángel Piqueras, who has 106 points. Álvaro Carpe (105 points) has taken third place from Joel Kelso (95 points). Quiles' results in recent races have seen him quickly climb to fifth place in the Moto3 overall standings with 85 points and he is closing in on the battle for second place, which is becoming increasingly tight. Foggia is in twelfth place with 49 points. In addition, the CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team is fourth in the team standings with 134 points and is closing the gap to reach the top 3.

Máximo Quiles: “We're coming off my first victory at Mugello. I'm very excited and eager to keep scoring points and improving, because there's always room for improvement. We've already enjoyed the victory and celebrated it. We're focused on Assen, on doing our job and enjoying this circuit. I think we're going to have a good time, I can't wait to get started.”

Dennis Foggia: “Assen is a circuit where I have already won and where I really enjoy riding. The podium at Mugello was a breath of fresh air. I am really looking forward to repeating the result achieved in Italy and continuing to do so well.”
