JEREZ TEST

CFMOTO Aspar Team starts its 2025 engines

Máximo Quiles and Dennis Foggia make their debut in CFMOTO colours in a two-day test in Jerez

The CFMOTO Aspar Team has started the 2025 preseason with two new faces and two days of testing at the Circuito de Jerez – Ángel Nieto, where Máximo Quiles and Dennis Foggia have been able to enjoy their first laps on the CFMOTO. The team's new riders arrive in Moto3 through different paths: Quiles is still competing in the JuniorGP, which celebrates its last event this coming Wednesday, while Foggia comes back from Moto2 to fight for the title in the lightweight category again.

With this background, the needs of each of the riders were different in a test that has allowed them to begin adapting to their new bikes and their new technical teams. The Spaniard has been the fastest rider, with a time of 1:44.959, half a second behind José Antonio Rueda, in a day in which he has completed a total of 126 laps. His new teammate has finished the test 1.3 seconds off Rueda after having focused on working with used tyres to recover his feeling on a Moto3.

Valencia and its citizens are experiencing one of the most challenging moments in recent history. The surrounding areas of the city are facing a severe climate emergency due to intense rainfall and flash floods. Thousands of families have lost their homes, businesses, and access to basic services like drinking water, electricity, and safe shelter. At Aspar Team, in collaboration with GoFundMe, we have launched this campaign to support those affected, providing immediate aid and hope to those most in need. Every donation is backed by our guarantee, ensuring that funds go directly to those impacted by this crisis.

Máximo Quiles 1:44.959 (+0.546, 126 laps): “It has been a super positive test. I have learned a lot with the CFMOTO, which is a new bike for me. I am very happy with the team; they work very well and we have improved a lot. I feel comfortable with the bike, although I still lack a bit of confidence. We have made a decent time with a tyre that was not the best for us. I feel that the adaptation is going well, and I am just looking forward to getting started.”

Dennis Foggia 1:45.772 (+1.359, 119 laps): “It has been a first test full of new things: the tyres, the bike, the team… I didn’t know what to expect, because if the leap from Moto3 to Moto2 is difficult, it is much more difficult from Moto2 to Moto3. Today we have improved a second and a half after trying many things and riding mainly with used tyres. We have a good base, but the important thing for me was to adapt to the return to Moto3. "This is not my favourite track, but we have been able to make the most of these days. I don't feel like I'm close to the limit yet, but I'm going into the winter break relaxed and looking forward to the Portimao test."
