Autosolar GASGAS Aspar arrives to Argentina looking for redemption

David Alonso and Ryusei Yamanaka travel to the first American race looking for their second chance after a fruitless Portuguese GP

The Moto3 World Championship faces its second consecutive race in just seven days and arrives to its next destination, the Argentina Grand Prix. The small category riders will travel to the American continent for another race of the recently started season. Daniel Holgado, first Grand Prix winner of the year, leads the standings to which the Autosolar GASGAS Aspar riders will be looking to add their first points this weekend. In 2022, the Grand Prix of Argentina was the first to see a GASGAS Aspar Team rider on the top step of the podium. There, Sergio García's victory meant that the Spanish rider took the lead, in a race in which Izan Guevara could not finish due to a mechanical problem.

Now, one year later, Autosolar GASGAS Aspar arrives to Termas de Rio Hondo after a Portuguese Grand Prix in which its riders were unlucky. On the one hand, Ryusei Yamanaka will be looking to redeem himself for his mistake at Portimao, on a track where he finished twelfth in 2022. The Japanese rider will continue working with his technical team to score his first points of the season in the second race of the year. On the other hand, David Alonso showed last weekend that he has the pace to fight for front positions. The Colombian rider could not complete his first race after being involved in an incident with another rider and now arrives to a new circuit for him, where he hopes to adapt quickly and to score his first points as a World Championship rider.

Ryusei Yamanaka: “I have experience on the Argentina GP track, where I had good feelings last year. We are coming from a difficult weekend for me, but in which we had a good pace. We will have to stay focused, keep on the line we were working on and avoid mistakes that could penalise us.”

David Alonso: “We arrive to a new circuit that we will have to learn. We will need to be connected from the beginning, see what the track is like and improve during the weekend.”
