Aspar Circuit hosts since this month the Aspar KSB riders and mechanics academies and the Aspar Team headquarters
Jorge Martínez “Aspar” has officially inaugurated the first global motorcycle academy, a unique project in the world, which includes the training of riders and mechanics from the base, with a ladder from the Spanish Championship to the MotoGP World Championship and which will be based at the Aspar Circuit, a 370,000 m2 motor theme park aimed at motor enthusiasts.
The president of Generalitat Valenciana, Carlos Mazón; the president of the FIM, Jorge Viegas, and the president of the Royal Spanish Automobile Federation and second vice president of the FIA, Manuel Aviñó, among others, have attended the inauguration.
The opening ceremony has been presented by journalist Izaskun Ruiz and has included a review of all the links that make up the Aspar Universe, the first global motorcycling academy. In the event have participated the main figures of this project, among them, the CFMOTO CEO, Mr. Lai, who has gifted Jorge Martínez “Aspar” a personalized motorcycle.
The Aspar Circuit, a motorsport theme park
Located in Guadassuar (Valencia), the Aspar Circuit will house the CFMOTO Aspar Team headquarters and will have facilities that go beyond the circuit itself. The space will be made up of four competition tracks (a main one of 2.2 kilometers, a karting track of 850 meters, a dirt track of 1.1 kilometers, and another asphalt track of 18,000 m2), a paddock of 15,000 m2, more of 100 boxes, a green area of 80,000 m2, the Aspar Museum, restaurant, terraces, multifunction rooms, heliport and infirmary.
The Aspar Circuit becomes a center for the development of talent at all levels. Here the young promises of motorcycling will receive advice for their technical, physical, academic and communication preparation. The Aspar Circuit ranges from road safety for children, to the Moto3, Moto2 and MotoE World Championship structures, including the Spanish Championship team, the European Talent Cup and the JuniorGP teams. But not only riders are trained, but also mechanics through the Aspar KSB Technical Academy.
But the Aspar Circuit is much more and will also be a meeting point for motorsport fans. In fact, it will host the karting discipline of the FIA Motorsport Games 2024. In addition, the Circuit facilities are available so that motorsport fans can train with their own vehicle or rent one from the available fleet. The facilities are also prepared to organize road safety or drift classes, driving school practices or exhibitions. On the other hand, the Aspar Circuit also seeks to become a business space in which companies can develop any type of commercial, corporate or business activity.
Jorge Martínez “Aspar”, CEO Aspar Circuit: “Today is an incredible day for me. I debuted in Guadassuar 45 years ago and at that time I just wanted to be a rider. Now we are a school, a team and we have a wonderful circuit to enhance it. We are going to be the world reference. We want to make this project big.”
Nico Terol, sports director CFMOTO Aspar Team: “It is a very important day for the entire team. We are a very successful team, but the difficult thing is not to get there, it is to stay and we fight every day to achieve it. Now, the Aspar Universe is going to help us continue growing.”
