Valencia the last battle for third in Moto2

The Inde GASGAS Aspar rider arrives at Valencia with a 7-point advantage over Fermín Aldeguer, who, together with Aron Canet, will try to take third position from the British

The Moto2 World Championship faces the last race of the year with the incentive of knowing who will be the rider closing the top 3. Pedro Acosta and Tony Arbolino are already champion and runner-up, so the only open battle is for a third place held, at the moment, by Inde GASGAS Aspar rider Jake Dixon. The British has a 7-point advantage over Fermín Aldeguer and 19 points over Aron Canet, the only riders who still have chances to take third place away from him. Dixon comes back to Europe, after finishing fifth the Qatar GP. The British does not want to lose a third place that has been his since the Dutch Grand Prix and will try to complete a good last weekend in order to keep it.

Inde GASGAS Aspar rider Izan Guevara arrives at Valencia to close his first season in the intermediate category. The Spanish was already able to ride the Moto2 at the Ricardo Tormo track at the end of November last year and he will try to make the most of his experience to end the season on a high note. Guevara has already finished in the top 10 twice this season, and in Valencia he will be looking to repeat a good result to give some joy to the local fans.

Jake Dixon: “It is my best season to date in the World Championship, but we must work again to get on the podium and to close the year where we deserve. In Qatar we couldn't fight for the first positions, and we finished fifth, and now we are going to focus from the first moment in Valencia to improve that fifth.”

Izan Guevara: “We face the last Grand Prix of the year, and we race at home. Last season I won in Moto3 and this year we will give everything again to let the fans enjoy.”
