PORTIMAO TEST

Top 10 today for Dixon in a very positive day

Inde GASGAS Aspar teammate Izan Guevara continues to take steps forward in his adaptation to the new category

Aron Canet was the strongest rider at the start of the Portimao test and today only one rider has managed to be faster than him. Pedro Acosta got to stop the clock at 1:42.234, four tenths faster than yesterday’s best lap time, and leads the penultimate day of pre-season tests for the intermediate category riders. Sam Lowes, Fermín Aldeguer and Tony Arbolino complete the top five positions on a day in which the Moto2 riders have only been able to take advantage of two of the three practice sessions due to weather conditions.

Inde GASGAS Aspar rider Jake Dixon completed a very positive day for his interests. Although yesterday he managed to enter the top 6 in two of the three sessions of the day, it was not until today that he found better feelings on the bike, which allowed him to continue growing and to improve almost half a second from his time on the first day. Teammate Izan Guevara continues his adaptation to the intermediate category and on this second day of testing he has improved his lap time by six tenths. The reigning Moto3 world champion continues to take steps forward with his technical team and, although he still has room for improvement, he has been positive with the progress he has made today.

Jake Dixon (1:43.144, 33 laps): “Until now it had been a difficult start to the preseason, I didn't have a good feeling. Today I feel positive, I feel good on the bike, although we still have room for improvement. I hope that, from now on, we will continue to work in the right direction."

Izan Guevara (1:45.988, 32 laps): “We are taking steps forward. We have improved the feelings, although we still need something more in the rear. We have to keep working. We are not yet where we want to be, but day after day we are drawing positive conclusions.”
