The CFMOTO Inde Aspar starts in Jerez less than three hundredths off the leader

Jake Dixon finishes the first day of testing in Jerez in third position after completing 66 laps

 

The intermediate category riders have started the official pre-season test with three sessions of just over an hour in which the fastest was Aron Canet, who set a time of 1:41.136 in the second session of the day. In the afternoon, American Joe Roberts has been the fastest, just ahead of the CFMOTO Inde Aspar rider Jake Dixon, but neither of them was able to beat Canet's time. Fermín Aldeguer was the fastest in the morning session and, although in the following two sessions he could lower his mark, he finishes the day in fourth position.

CFMOTO Inde Aspar rider Jake Dixon has started the last three days of testing in Jerez three hundredths off the best time. The British rider completed a total of 66 laps of the Jerez – Ángel Nieto circuit, with a best time of 1:41.164, 28 thousandths behind Canet. Dixon managed to improve his time by almost nine tenths between the first and last sessions of the day, after working incessantly throughout the day with his team. His teammate Izan Guevara has completed a total of 57 laps in Jerez, with a best time of 1:42.149 that leaves him twenty-second, just one second behind the leader.

 

3rd Jake Dixon 1:41.164 (+0.028, 66 laps): “It has been a complicated day, because we have tried many things, session by session, in each run, until in the last one we have found something positive. We are calm, focused on working on our position and our feelings because when we get what we need we will be fast. We have to understand what we need and how to get it, but we are going step by step.”

22nd Izan Guevara 1:42.149 (+1,013, 57 laps): “It has been an intense day. I feel comfortable with the bike and I'm happy with how we went today. We have a good feeling, and we are going to continue working on setting up the bike in the two days of preseason that we have left.”
