Sixth position for Dixon in Jerez

The British ridergets ten more points in a tough race. Izan Guevara has finished his second Grand Prix in Moto2 in 22nd position

Sam Lowes has come back to the top step of the podium two years later. Today, the British rider, as during all weekend, has been the fastest and has crossed the finish line almost three seconds ahead of Pedro Acosta, who has finished second. With these 20 points, Acosta now equals Tony Arbolino at the top of the overall standings, where Alonso Lopez moves up to fourth after finishing the Spanish Grand Prix in third place

Jake Dixon has had a tough race at the Jerez - Angel Nieto Circuit. The British rider has started from front row, but in the first few laps he has seen how Lowes and Acosta have escaped. Dixon, who has suffered a tyre drop too early, has stayed in the second group and has crossed the finish line in sixth position. The British will try to take advantage of Tuesday's test to improve his bike and be more prepared for the French Grand Prix. His Autosolar GASGAS Aspar teammate Izan Guevara has finished the race in twenty-second position. The Spanish rider has lapped in a similar time to the riders in the intermediate group and has finished the Spanish Grand Prix with positive feelings.

6th Jake Dixon (+11.923): "I knew it was going to be a difficult race and it is frustrating, because I wanted more. I had too much of a tyre drop early in the race and this hasn't been my favourite race track, so to finally finish one race here, in sixth position, is not so bad. It's good that we have a test on Tuesday as we need to find some things to help some rear grip. I'm looking forward to that. I gave my maximum during the race and I'm happy for that. We need to try better if we want to really try to fight them."

22nd Izan Guevara (37.151): “Honestly this was a positive race. It was conditioned a bit by the start but I was happy with the rhythm I could make; towards the end it was similar to the riders going for the last positions of the top fifteen. I made some mistakes and I need to learn but I’m getting better on the bike and I’m feeling more comfortable. I’m happy, and already thinking about France.”
