CATALAN GP

Second home GP for CFMOTO Inde Aspar

CFMOTO Inde Aspar Team has scored points in the last two races and will fight to do it again in Barcelona

Circuit de Barcelona - Catalunya celebrates the sixth round of the Moto2 season and the intermediate category starts the weekend, once again, with a different leader. After his victory in France, Sergio García has regained the lead and is the first rider to repeat at the top of the standings so far this season. The start of the Moto2 campaign has been very tight, with four different riders on top in the first four races, but little by little the favourites in the fight for the World Championship are emerging. García, who is the only rider to have repeated on top of the podium, has a seven-point advantage over his immediate pursuer, Joe Roberts. The third and fourth classified, Fermín Aldeguer and Ai Ogura, are tied 26 points behind the leader, while Alonso López and Aron Canet have dropped a little further in the fight for the first positions.

CFMOTO Inde Aspar Team will fight to continue scoring points in its second home race, the Catalan Grand Prix. Izan Guevara has achieved points in the last two races and sets himself the goal of continuing his progress to be able to fight in the leading group. The Spanish has gone from lowest to highest so far this season and wants to continue growing little by little in the intermediate category. His teammate, Jake Dixon, arrives at a very special circuit for him, where he dominated last year, achieving pole position and a special win for the team, in a day in which Moto3 rider David Alonso also won his race, making it a double for the Aspar Team. This season, however, the CFMOTO Inde Aspar Team rider has not had an easy start, but he will fight for the Catalan Grand Prix to be a turning point.

Izan Guevara: “We have achieved two pretty good results and we are showing great progression. I like the Circuit de Barcelona - Catalunya, I already won there in Moto3. We are going to continue working to improve and see if little by little we can make our way into the leading group."

Jake Dixon: “We have no choice but to continue working and fighting to get back to the front positions. Barcelona was a good circuit for me last year, but this year we start from zero and we will have to continue gritting our teeth.”
