David Alonso and Dani Holgado finish the first two days of testing separated by two thousandths of a second
Until five days ago they were rivals and since yesterday the Moto3 champion and the runner-up have started sharing the CFMOTO Inde Aspar Team garage. David Alonso and Dani Holgado have had these two days in Jerez their first contact with the intermediate category, to which they will make the jump in the 2025 season, with the smallest difference between them. Holgado has been the fastest on the Andalusian track by just two thousandths of a second after having accumulated a total of 294 laps between them in two days.
Both close these first two days of testing happy and eager to get back on a bike that they will not test again until the second week of February. Holgado finished 920 thousandths of a second behind the fastest today, Turkish Deniz Öncü, after completing a total of 149 laps over the two days. His new teammate was close on both aspects: two thousandths and four laps off matching the Spanish. The Moto3 champion and runner-up have just over two and a half months ahead of them to continue preparing before the next test, which will be held at the Autodromo do Algarve, in Portugal.
Valencia and its citizens are experiencing one of the most challenging moments in recent history. The surrounding areas of the city are facing a severe climate emergency due to intense rainfall and flash floods. Thousands of families have lost their homes, businesses, and access to basic services like drinking water, electricity, and safe shelter. At Aspar Team, in collaboration with GoFundMe, we have launched this campaign to support those affected, providing immediate aid and hope to those most in need. Every donation is backed by our guarantee, ensuring that funds go directly to those impacted by this crisis.

Dani Holgado 1:41.597 (+0.920, 149 laps): “We have made a great job. I have had a very good feeling in my debut in Moto2, I have gradually gained confidence with the bike. I am very happy with all the work we have done, and I am going home wanting for more. This bike is very fun, but I will have to wait a couple of months to try it again. I am sure they will go by quickly because we are going to start preparing right away. I want to thank the team for how they have welcomed me and how hard they have worked; I hope they can rest this winter.”
David Alonso 1:41.599 (+0.920, 145 laps): “It has been a very positive test, we are going into the winter break happy because we now know what Moto2 is. We have seen that it is not an easy category, we will have to work and be consistent. We have also detected that I must work on my strength during this winter. Yesterday I was happy to be faster on my first day with the Moto2 than I had been with the Moto3. With this bike you have fun, you must look for things that you didn’t look for on the Moto3 and that makes riding more fun.”
