CFMOTO Inde Aspar Team rider has finished tenth, while his teammate Jake Dixon has finished seventeenth
Sergio García has achieved his second victory of the season in the French Grand Prix and has regained the lead of the Moto2 World Championship. The Spanish rider has given his rivals no choice: he has taken the lead on the first lap and has led the entire race to achieve his second victory in the intermediate category. Behind, the other two places of the podium have been really contested between four riders: Aron Canet, who started from pole; Alonso López, Joe Roberts and Ai Ogura. In the end, Ogura has finished second after coming back from seventeenth position and López has completed the podium after beating Roberts by 60 thousandths.
CFMOTO Inde Aspar Team rider Izan Guevara has closed a positive weekend at Le Mans by achieving his first top 10 of the season. The Spanish rider has been competitive in the first laps, but as the race has gone on, he has begun to lose grip and has crossed the finish line in tenth. Guevara has managed to score points in the last two races and is satisfied with the progress made. His teammate Jake Dixon could only finish seventeenth. The CFMOTO Inde Aspar Team rider had placed eleventh on the grid, but a bad start has conditioned his race. Also, after an incident with Senna Agius when he was fighting for thirteenth position, he has lost his front fender, which has impeded him from continuing his progress in the race as the tyre was getting colder.
10th Izan Guevara (+14,215): “This weekend has been positive, we have made a lot of progress. We have achieved our first top 10 of the season and have got six more points. At the beginning I have had a great pace, I was sixth and I have been able to fight with the front group, but in the final part I have suffered with the tyres.”
17th Jake Dixon (+26.939): “I have had a bad start and then I have tried to comeback. We have made changes to the bike for the race that have not worked, we needed to try something because qualifying was not good. We will go back to what we know and will keep trying. In the middle of the race, I have had a contact with Senna, I have lost my front fender, and the front tyre has cooled.”
