Dixon will defend his third place from the second row

The Inde GASGAS Aspar rider will fight for a podium that would move him closer to the goal of finishing third

Aron Canet has taken the last pole position of the season in Moto2. The Spanish has set a time of 1:33.314 on his last lap and will try to make the most of his chances of finishing third in the overall standings starting from the front of the grid. Second on the grid will be one of his main rivals, Fermín Aldeguer, who has finished more than a tenth off his compatriot's time. The other contender to finish third in the standings and the rider who is actually placed third, Jake Dixon, will start fifth, so tomorrow the three riders will have a nice battle in the race that will decide who will join Pedro Acosta and Tony Arbolino on the 2023 podium.

Inde GASGAS Aspar rider Jake Dixon will start the last Grand Prix of the year from the second row. The Britsh will have his rivals for third place ahead of him, but he is confident of setting his pace and being able to fight for a podium that would move him closer to his goal. Dixon and his team will have to fine tune the set-up of the bike for tomorrow in order to be competitive and finish the season in the top 3. His teammate Izan Guevara will close his first year in Moto2 from the fifth row of the grid. The Spanish has made it directly into Q2 for the first time this season and will fight to finish in the top 10 tomorrow. Guevara will be looking to move up positions from the beginning of the race in order to achieve a great result and give the home fans some joy.

5th Jake Dixon 1:33.648 (+0.334): “We have tried four different bikes from the first practice to qualifying. For me, the one we had in Q2 has been the best, but we need to sit down and decide. I'm much happier with how things have gone today, we are closer. I have made a small mistake at the end and I couldn't extract all the potential I had. I think we could have fought for pole, but tomorrow is when the points are given. With my race pace and starting from the second row, I think we can complete a good race.”

15th Izan Guevara 1:34.166 (+0.852): “We have achieved our goal of getting directly into Q2. We have worked hard to achieve it and, in the end, we have been able to do it today. The lap times have been very tight and we are still missing a bit of experience in qualifying, but we have a good pace for tomorrow. We will start from fifteenth place and we will be looking to finish in the top 10.”
