The CFMOTO Inde Aspar Team rider will start from fourteenth position in Misano, while his teammate Izan Guevara will start from twenty-sixth
Tony Arbolino will make his debut tomorrow in the first position on the Moto2 grid. The Italian rider has been fastest in the San Marino GP qualifying, after being in the first positions of the timesheets all weekend and going straight to Q2. In qualifying, Arbolino has set a time of 1:35.229, just eleven thousandths ahead of Celestino Vietti, who will start from second place. The second rider in the World Championship, Ai Ogura, will complete the first row of the grid after finishing third. The Japanese rider has a great opportunity tomorrow to attack the Moto2 lead, as he is just 12 points off the leader Sergio García, who will start from far behind. García, who crashed yesterday, has not made it into Q2 and will start the race from twenty-fourth place.
CFMOTO Inde Aspar Team rider Jake Dixon will be fighting to make a comeback tomorrow from fifth row of the grid. The British, who has gone straight into Q2, has only been able to finish fourteenth, after his best lap has been cancelled because of the yellow flags that were waving due to another rider’s crash. Dixon knows that he has room for improvement for tomorrow's race and hopes to get to the front group to fight for the top positions, as he has done in recent races. His teammate Izan Guevara will start tomorrow from twenty-sixth position on the grid. In the last practice session, Guevara has been unable to finish in the top fourteen and, as a result, he has had to compete in Q1. In qualifying, he has only managed to finish twelfth, so he has not made it into Q2. Guevara will work to improve his feeling on the bike and be able to take a step forward that would allow him to recover positions in tomorrow's race.
14th Jake Dixon 1:35.999: “It has been a difficult day. We have just not found the feelings we need this weekend. Unfortunately, in my last qualifying lap, I have got caught out by yellow flags, so my best lap has been cancelled. We will try to find a better solution for tomorrow's race.”
26th Izan Guevara 1:36.338: “We have just missed out on Q2. In the last practice, when I have put on new tyres to get a good time, I have suffered a lot and I have not been able to improve. In Q1, the conditions were more difficult and we have not been able to progress. I find it really difficult to stop the bike. We are going to make changes for tomorrow's race, we will take it as a test with the aim of improving for the second race here in two weeks.”
