The British rider has finished three seconds off victory, with Izan Guevara in twenty-second place

Tony Arbolino is the new Moto2 leader after taking the win in a race in which several riders have crashed out on the first lap. This incident has caused race direction to bring out the red flag and to reduce the race by eight laps. In this short race, Arbolino has taken the win and is now 25 points ahead of Pedro Acosta, who has crashed when he was trying to catch the Italian. Filip Salac and Alonso Lopez have held on to second and third positions, waiting for a mistake. However, Arbolino has kept firm and has crossed the finish line six tenths ahead of the Czech and over a second ahead of the Spanish rider, who has achieved his second podium in a row.

Inde GASGAS Aspar rider Jake Dixon has finished the French Grand Prix in the top 5. The British rider has not had a good start, but has managed to be consistent in his pace and has always been close to the leading group. His teammate Izan Guevara has completed the whole race, although without finding the best feelings. The current Moto3 World Champion keeps working on his adaptation to the category and, as his teammate in the Inde GASGAS Aspar team, will try to take advantage of the three-weeks break to get stronger for the Italian Grand Prix.

5th Jake Dixon (+3.041): “Some solid points but we struggled at the beginning of the race again and we need to sort that out. I closed the gap to the leaders but it was not enough. I tried to be smart in that race and tried not to push when it didn’t feel right. I got into my rhythm and came back to 5th from 8th. I’m happy.”

22nd Izan Guevara (25.347): “Another race run although I’m still missing the feeling I want on the bike. The weekend was complicated because it started quite well but I couldn’t keep improving. Anyway, we made some progress in the race. We have to keep training and looking forwards, and we’ll use this small break now to get better in Mugello.”
