Dixon just off the podium in Assen

The CFMOTO Inde Aspar Team rider has finished fourth after recovering five positions

Ai Ogura has won the Moto2 Dutch GP race winner, with Fermín Aldeguer and Sergio García on the podium. Aldeguer, who has started from pole, has maintained the first position in the first laps and has been able to make room at the front, while Ogura and García battled for the other two places on the podium. With seven laps remaining, Aldeguer has had to serve a long lap penalty for exceeding the track limits and has dropped to third place. However, his pace has been very strong at all times and he has been able to overtake García and finish just half a second off Ogura. The victory of the Japanese, which is his second victory so far this season, tightens the Moto2 World Championship. Ogura has surpassed in the standings Joe Roberts, who has been unable to compete in this race due to injury, and is only 14 points behind his teammate and Moto2 leader, Sergio García.

CFMOTO Inde Aspar Team rider Jake Dixon has finished just off the podium at the Dutch GP. The British has climbed from ninth to fourth place in a race in which he has had a great pace. Dixon has completed a very positive weekend in which he has gone from lowest to highest and finishes for the third consecutive grand prix in points, a streak that he will fight to continue extending in Germany. His teammate Izan Guevara could only finish nineteenth. The Spanish has struggled to feel comfortable with his bike, especially with the front. Guevara already has his mind set on the German GP, where he hopes to forget this weekend with a good result.

4th Jake Dixon (+8.985): “Yesterday I was pretty happy in terms of race pace; I knew that we had done a nice job. Before the race, I have said to the team that I would be happy if we finished in the top 5 and, in the end, we have ended fourth. We still have a lot of work to do and I have found what we need to improve. Overall, it has been a good step forward from what we have been doing. This weekend has been great as a team, everyone has worked really well. I am really happy with the result.”

19th Izan Guevara (+33.311): “It has been a weekend to forget. It is true that yesterday we were fast and competitive, but we had a lot of problems with the front. Today we thought that by making some modifications to the front we could improve, but it has been quite the opposite. We forget this weekend and focus on Germany.”
