CFMOTO Inde Aspar Team will bid farewell to the second double header at Brno

Dani Holgado and David Alonso face the last Grand Prix before the summer break on a track with more than thirty Grand Prix races in its history, but which is unknown to both riders

The summer break is just around the corner for Moto2 riders, although first they will have to contest one last round of the calendar. The Czech Grand Prix returns after a five-year absence and will complete the second double-header of the season. The CFMOTO Inde Aspar Team will face an unfamiliar circuit, as neither Dani Holgado nor David Alonso have ever ridden at the Brno track. Holgado arrives eager to continue learning after finishing twelfth in Germany, in a weekend full of challenges due to constantly changing conditions. David Alonso was not so lucky, crashing with five laps to go while also trying to close in on the top 10. The Colombian has been able to recover physically from the pain in his right thumb to arrive in the best possible condition and face the weekend with the same enthusiasm as his teammate. The CFMOTO Inde Aspar Team duo has completed an outstanding first half of 2025. Despite this being their debut year in the intermediate category, they have fought for the podium on several occasions, something that David Alonso achieved in the last British Grand Prix. Both riders want to end the Czech Republic event on a high note to face the second half of the season with the same ambition.

Manu González is reluctant to leave the lead in the Moto2 standings. The Spanish rider has a nine-point advantage over his compatriot Aron Canet, who remains in second place. Diogo Moreira is in third place, 44 points behind, while Jake Dixon and Barry Baltus are tied for fourth and fifth with 114 points. Dani Holgado is fourteenth with 47 points and David Alonso sixteenth with 36 points. Both lead the rookie standings in the intermediate category.

Dani Holgado: “I'm really looking forward to getting to Brno. It's a new circuit for me as I've never ridden there, not even with the Moto3 bike. I want to continue my upward trend, score more points and, above all, fight for another top 10 finish, as in those fights with the best riders is where you learn the most.”

David Alonso: “After the nasty crash in Germany, I'm very lucky that nothing else happened to me. My hand has improved a lot and is less swollen, so we can arrive in Brno in good condition. It's a circuit I've never ridden on before. I've seen lots of videos and races, and looks like it’s a great track. I'm really looking forward to it.”
