Quiles battles for the podium until the very last metres

The CFMOTO Valresa Aspar Team rider wins the bronze medal in his first year in Moto3 after finishing fifth in Valencia

Máximo Quiles has finished his first season in the Moto3 World Championship in third place and as the best rookie in the category. The CFMOTO Valresa Aspar Team rider finished fifth in the last race of the year after fighting for the podium and even victory until the final metres. The victory in the Valencia Grand Prix went to Adrián Fernández, followed by Álvaro Carpe in second and Taiyo Furusato in third.

The final round of the 2025 season took place this Sunday at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo. Máximo Quiles started the race from the front row of the grid and tried to lead the group from the early laps. The CFMOTO Valresa Aspar Team rider remained in the top three, focused on maintaining a high pace throughout the 20 laps. The best Moto3 rookie managed every moment of the race to reach the final laps with a chance of victory. On the last lap, up to five riders battled for a place on the podium, with Quiles among them. The Spaniard reached the final corners in second position, but a small mistake in the last corner relegated him to fifth place just a few metres before crossing the finish line. Despite not achieving his tenth podium, Quiles closes a historic first season in Moto3, in which he fought for the runner-up spot until the end, falling just seven points short of achieving it, and in which he confirmed himself as the Rookie of the Year in the category with nine podiums, including three victories. On the other hand, his teammate Dennis Foggia was unable to finish his time with the CFMOTO Valresa Aspar Team in the desired manner. The Italian rider started the race from the fifth row, but lost a few positions and was subsequently unable to find the right feeling to get back into the points. Foggia finally finished twenty-first in what was also his last race in the world championship.

5th Máximo Quiles (+0.448): “I felt really good during the race. I think I had everything I needed to finish on the podium, at the very least. Mentally, I was a bit demoralised when Taiyo Furusato stepped on the green zone. My mind had settled, but at that moment I should have attacked. I didn't think quickly and we lost the podium in the last few metres. These situations help us learn a lot for the future. Apart from the race, I'm happy with the incredible season we've had. I'm very motivated for the next season and I'm looking forward to giving it my all in 2026 with the team.”

21st Dennis Foggia (+32.932): “I didn't expect this result today. I noticed the wind a lot during the race and that hurt me. I'm happy to end my time in Moto3having achieved so many podiums and victories. I want to thank the whole CFMOTO Aspar Team for this year, I would have liked to have achieved more podiums with them. It has been a pleasure working with the team.”
