CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team, Moto3 team world champion in 2026

The dominant force in the Moto3 category over the last decade has secured its third team title in five seasons

The CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team has successfully completed its objectives for the 2026 season and today mathematically confirmed its third Moto3 double in the last five years by being crowned team champions two races in advance.

The overwhelming dominance of Máximo Quiles, who has racked up 11 wins and 17 podium finishes so far this year, combined with Marco Morelli’s outstanding performances at Grand Prix events such as those in Brazil, the Netherlands and Aragón – where the team managed to place both its riders on the podium – has enabled the team to clinch the title with two races remaining in the season. In total, the CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team has scored 533 points out of a possible 855 and is also closing in on the record set by KTM Ajo in 2025 (583 points).

This one-two finish achieved by Máximo Quiles and Marco Morelli joins those secured by the team in 2022 (Izan Guevara and Sergio García) and 2024 (David Alonso and Joel Esteban). The only year this double victory eluded them was in 2020, when Albert Arenas won the Moto3 World Championship but the Aspar Team fell 13 points short of completing the feat with the teams’ title.

The CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team now reigns supreme amongst the Moto3 teams with three titles, ahead of Le0pard, Ajo (two titles), Gresini and Intact (one title). Since 2020, it has also secured six podium finishes in the championship standings – the highest tally achieved by any team in the category.

Aspar Team’s record in the Moto3 World Team Championship:

2020 – Runner-up
2021 – Runner-up
2022 – Champion
2023 – Fourth place
2024 – Champion
2025 – Third place
2026 – Champion
