Ryusei Yamanaka joins the GASGAS Aspar Team to compete in his fourth full season in the Moto3 category. The Japanese rider has made a firmly progress in all his World Championship appearances and will try to show his talent in the team leaded by Jorge Martínez 'Aspar'.
Yamanaka was born in Japan, where he began to make a name for himself after finishing fourth in the 2017 Asia Talent Cup, an edition in which he took a victory at his home circuit, Motegi. Before making the jump to the World Championship, the Japanese rider participated in the Red Bull Rookies Cup and the JuniorGP, where he was the best Asian rider of 2019.
After standing out in the lower categories, Yamanaka received the opportunity to make his World Championship debut when he was 17 years old. In his first performances, the Japanese rider showed signs of his potential after scoring points in two of his first four races in Moto3. Despite being his debut in the category, Ryusei presented himself to the world as a talented and determined rider.
In 2022, the Japanese rider completed his best season in the World Championship, with a fifth position at Mugello as his best result and a constant appearance in the top 10 of the category, showing a great evolution as a rider. At the age of 21, he joins a winning team with which he will try to boost his career to consolidate himself as one of the title contenders.
